Human Rights

Even though people say that we are born free and equal, some people try to take others rights away and feel more empowered.Through out this term we have been learning about human rights and what they represent
to an indavidule person.During this time i have descovered that although people say that everyone is free and equal they don't alwasy live up to that.A young woman living in Afghanistan would not be intitled to her rights as a young woman,She wouldn't be able to have a job or be intitled to schooling she would be at home cooking or cleaning with her mum and waiting for her brothers and dad to come home. This is just one of the exsamples that i have chosen to use as

evedence to explain my thought.

"No one is born hating another person because of the color of their skin,  their background, or their religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate they can be taught to love. For love comes more naturally to the human hearts than its opposite" ~ Nelson  Mandela.

My Values

What values are you passionate about??? I am passionate about people that discriminate others by the colour of there skin and what they look like. I think of this because i believe that everyone should have a fair chance in life and they should be treated the same as everyone else. I think that people that discriminate should worry about there self and mind there own business. LOL!!!!!!!!!!    Image result for discrimination

Science

In science this week we have been learning about the heart and how it works. Along with this unit we also learnt how to dissect a lambs heart, we learnt what all the holes are and we also learnt what the heart does and how it pumps the blood. Something that I learnt was that there are different types of blood and there are different things making up the blood, this includes white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets and plasma. The different types of blood are DE-oxygenated blood and oxygenated blood. Oxygenated blood is blood that had just passed through the lungs to get oxygen  and DE-oxygenated blood is blood travailing to the lungs to get more oxygen. Although it had a very bad smell it was so much fun, the photo I have shown is about the Respiration system with the labels of what they are.. Next year in science I am looking forward to doing more experiments.

Comparing Cultures

For the last two weeks in social studies, we have been learning to compare cultures. We were asked to research 4 aspects of a culture and compare them. I decided to study France and compared it to New Zealand culture. I hope you enjoy the research that I found.
